There are many brands of elliptical trainers in the market. You will definitely be puzzled when you see all the different elliptical brands available. When choosing, you can compare the price, workout programs, stride length, monitors, and warranties.

The cheapest elliptical machine would be the basic entry level Weslo elliptical trainer 610 with $180 as the price. But there are no programs in this machine. A better elliptical machine would be the Proform StrideSelect costs $500 with 20 personal workout trainings available and 10-year brake warranty. This also has iFit.com feature and MP3 player port to monitor the program and to have a fun workout. The stride length of this is 11”, 13”, and 16” depending on the preference of the user. 

A mid-priced machine is NordicTrack elliptical model - Elite Commercial trainer that costs as much as $2000 with 16 levels of resistance, 16 workout programs and 2 learn programs and stride length of 19.5”. Wireless heart strap is also included in the machine. This has iFit.com compatibility and 1 year warranty on labor and 3 years on parts.

One of the most expensive elliptical machine would be the StarTrac Elite that cost $4400 with 20 resistance levels, 8 workout programs, and Polar Telemetry and Pulse Grip.  It has a stride length of 18” with Infrared Beam with Palm OS software.  It has 2 years warranty on parts and 1 year on labor.

So as you can see, there are many different models to cater to different needs. The trick is to compare and test!
